This is what I pulled out of a Goldwing tank via electrolysis:http://www.honda305.com/upload/h305_for ... 88_686.jpg
The interior of the tank looked like new afterwards.

It took several days, pulled the electrode out and cleaned it several times. The hard part was fooling my "smart" battery charger into putting out some amps. I piggy-backed a run-down car battery on, in parallel, to get it to go.

I used a piece of plastic from the side of an antifreeze jug with a hole in the center to hold the re-bar. After doing the main part of the tank, I tipped it up to get the filler neck wet (it's higher than the sender unit) and moved the electrode there for another day.
