just got side cases back from painter and the inspection covers from polisher. I will post pics soon. I still cant figure out what the pin is for or if it belongs in the oil pump shaft. Is is a check valve? Are there more parts missing like a spring and ball? I have not been able to find it on any parts breakdowns that I can find. Thanks It definitely came out of this motor which is a CA77
The pin is not the retainer for the oil filter. When I said it fits in the shaft, I meant that the od of the pin fits the id of the shaft. The thrust washer and pin are in place. The pin also fits perfectly in the end of the transmission output shaft on the right side of the motor(where the chain sprocket is) Could this be the home for my mystery pin?
