Transmission main shaft bearing

I bought a ball bearing 91006-422-004 on ebay to replace 91004-259-000 on the transmission main shaft. Upon arrival I find it is a sealed ball bearing. The size is right and it has the proper slot in the outer race. Is it OK to use a sealed bearing in this application? I am restoring a 1962 CB77 that was in my father-in-laws tractor repair shop loft. Thanks for any insight.

If you don't remove the shields(seals) I don't know how the oil is going to bathe the ball bearings.

Just pry the seal off each side, with a sharp pointed tool (it will pop right off), and install it.
