Thanks, my mistake and I fixed it. I'll keep the pictures coming. My cable adjusters have springs as shown. I have seen springs with star adjusters on the early CA77s I've had, but not with the small, round lock like mine. Is mine supposed to have the spring?

I would say on a bike this old, to ditch the entire cable for safety's sake (if you plan on making it a rider).

I am definitely replacing the cables along with other stuff. I have been collecting parts over the last 5 years for the bike. I just wanted to know if the springs were correct as I had never seen them before on the CB77s. ; )

I have seen the star adjusters on the "Early" CA77s and CA95s up to early mid 1963 before the change in tank design/other changes that designated them "Late" models per the Honda ID guide.

This bike had the original flat bars replaced with aftermarket high rise bars like a lot of them did. You can see how the switch wires have had some extra wire added to them. Note the gray colored sheathing on the headlight/horn switch. I don't know when it switched to blue. Also notice the horn and starter button logo.
