CA77 Contact breaker

I have a question guys regarding the 2 screws that secure the contact breaker, is the thread metric or JIS. Thanks.

Thanks for the link Seadog apparently 4mm x .075 pitch but does anyone know where they can be obtained.

The screws are either .07 or .075 pitch, how do you know which you have? Why not buy one with the standard .07 pitch at the hardware store and give it a try?

Hi Seadog, have just fitted new points yesterday but will take screw to an engineering company next time I remove them to establish the pitch as I don't want to disturb them now.

Something that I rarely admit to doing is running a die of the correct thread pitch up a screw with an incorrect one. I wouldn't do it on something requiring a lot of strength but I would certainly give it a try here. I have found that taps and dies of odd sizes and pitches are often much easier to find than the fasteners.
