62 C77 Barn Find62 C77 Barn FindI have been a huge Honda fan for a long time. When a complete stranger asked if i was interested in his 62 honda dream 305 I said yes. We settled on $500 i don't know if this is a good deal or not but I love the styling and the history so I bought it. I'm going to clean it up a little and get it back on the road. Today was day 1 of the project. I began to disassemble the bike and sandblast the parts in my garage so that I can repaint it.[/img] I will post more photos every day that i work on it. Hopefully when it is finished i will have a reliable easy riding bike that I can enjoy on the bendy roads in Alberta and British Columbia.

Re: 62 C77 Barn FindWelcome. Visually, that bike is not a 1962. Earliest for that style (Late Dream Touring) would be 1963. If you supply the forum with your frame and engine numbers we can give you a better idea of the year. HT
PaintingI spent this morning hand sanding the primer to get everything smooth. Then i moved on to painting the paint i am using is Acrylic Enamel. Unfortunately I am going to need to sand down a few parts and re-paint them I had a few bad runs because I put the first coat of paint on to thick. As I am writing this I suddenly remember that I was still using the larger 1.8 tip that I had just used for the primer. oh well I can try again tomorrow. here is a picture of the front fender so you can see the color I chose. Where can i find the frame number? I see the motor number but can't see a frame number on it
Re: PaintingNear rhe left side foot peg and center stand mount. ...............lm

Im happy with the results and I am moving on to sandblasting the frame. Found the frame number thanks Loud Mouse for helping me find it. posted a few pictures of what I'm working on.
