Hello Folks,
I'm working on restoring a 1965 CB77...not going for museum quality, but trying to stay as stock and OEM as possible.
The Rims on the bike are pitted and rusted fairly bad so re-plating is likely out. Looking to pick up a new Set of DID rims...Just want to double-check that I've got the correct sizes selected.
Wheel rim, Front - 1.60x18 36 hole

Wheel rim, Rear - 1.85x18 36 hole

Thanks for any input.
Cheers, Joe

The rear looks OK, but I'm not sure that the front will work. It is the right size with the right number of holes, but the spoke angles may be quite different than the CB77. The rim that you have listed is for a CB360G, which is a disc brake bike. That has a small hub, thus longer spokes. David Silver doesn't list a front rim for the CB77.
Exactly what I was worried about. Doing more reading on the subject and believe that the spoke angle will indeed be an issue. May be time to look into how bad the pitting on the rim really is and if it can be re-plated.pemdoc65 wrote:The rear looks OK, but I'm not sure that the front will work.
