Plate/ Lock washer

Post by bodie1204 » Thu Oct 20, 2016 2:45 pm

Hey guys, I am thinking about replacing the rear sprocket on my 65' CA77. My question is, how do you guys handle the plate/lock washer that keeps the bolts in place. Do you hammer down the flange that holds the nuts in or is there another approach.

Item 28 in this diagram for reference

Cheers!

You just bend the lock tabs back with a screwdriver or whatever is handy. You can anneal them for re-use.
