Trying to Lubricate Clutch Cable
Trying to Lubricate Clutch Cable
I would like to lubricate the clutch cable on my 305 Dream. Can anyone tell me how to remove the cable from the right side engine case?
See this forum topic, it should show you what you need.

Unless you want to do something with the bottom end of the cable, you need only remove the cable from the lever and inject some lubricant into the gap between the inner and outer parts with a syringe. I leave the cable unattached, pointing up for about five or ten minutes to let the lube drain down and then reattach the cable.
Tim, I did as you suggested and it worked great. I removed the peep hole cover and using a cable lubricator and lubricant I was able to do it without removing the bottom end. I could see my lubricant coming out of the end of the cable through the peep hole.Tim Allman wrote:Unless you want to do something with the bottom end of the cable, you need only remove the cable from the lever and inject some lubricant into the gap between the inner and outer parts with a syringe.
