clutch issue?

When on a load on my ca77, ( going up a grade or starting out and going thru the lower gears) it feels as if I am bumping the clutch lever in quickly. It doesn't sound like the common clutch slippage, It is a quick in and out interruption. Has anyone else had this issue or know what the problem could be? Thanks Frank
