I concurred for the first 30 seconds, and then i blipped the throttle to find out im still getting a slow return to idle.
My left side muffler's exhaust is weak, compared to the right side, and no matter what I do. I've followed your recipe like a ritual, verified timing at idle and advance, verified no vacuum leak at carb boots, verified slides are synched, snugged the spark plugs, etc... I've done everything except verify compression, but only because I dont have the tools at hand. I dont think its the compression...
The air screw on the left side is pretty loose, and the air screw threads look very worn. I think they're stripped to the point of repair and are probably the problem.
Can this be causing my problem? Is it possible to have a vacuum leak through the air screws? If you've experienced it, how did you remedy?
3 things come to mind: Loctite thread repair kit, jbweld and liguid soap, and helicoil.
As always, thanks for the response.

This was the very first start up and I'm happy to say it took 3 kicks:
