Front fork disassembly

Hello all,

Working to disassemble the front forks on a 1962 CB77. After reading numerous posts I finally built a tool to unscrew chrome fork seal, and after a week of soaking in penetrating fluid got it off. Now I can't figure out how to get fork piston off. Mine appears to be attached by 3 knock pins but don't know how to get them out. There doesn't appear to be anyway to get leverage on them from the ID of the fork pipe. Really appreciate the advice and knowledge on this forum. Any ideas appreciated.

They pins are stepped and the bush is staked over the heads once they are in. They have to be knocked out from the inside so a bar with a peg in should allow you to drive them out after clearing the material holding the head.

After finishing my chores I went back to work on the fork. I got the knock pins out and disassembled it. However I am confused. On the pipe fork there are two grooves for snap rings. On my fork there was no snap ring in the lower groove, one snap ring in the upper groove, and a snap ring just floating on the pipe fork above the upper groove (but below the fork pipe guide). In the parts manual it shows a fork pipe stopper ring, fork piston snap ring, and a fork valve stopper ring. Which is which and where do they all go.

The photos below show the parts I have and the order they were removed from bottom to top of the fork. The photo doesn't show the oil seal because I can't for the life of me get it out of fork seal housing.
