Dunlop K82 vs K81

Post by WrenchRust » Wed Aug 12, 2015 3:35 pm

I've read a lot about the Dunlop K82 on this and other sites but every search I do leads to nothing. I've called a few local dealers and they haven't heard of them. I look on the Dunlop web site and they don't mention them. But I find a lot about the K81 TT100 tires add their vintage series. What's the deal? Where can I find the K82s?

Thanks,
Joel

Rear

Same tread pattern as K81 TT100 but lower speed rating.

Looking at those listing reminds me that everything I found was in the UK. Not sure how much shipping will cost but even more, how long it would take. I want to start riding it. I'll look into it though.

We're you saying that the k82 had the lower speed rating?

Yes - K82 is 'S' rated and K81 is 'H' rated.

Hedenau make some nice 'period' tires for these bikes which are available in USA.

I ended up going with the Hedenau. Thanks for the help.
