piston arrows. forward, or back?

hi guys, what direction do the piston arrows point? i'm trying to help a friend put his basketcase ca77 back together. oh! and what's the head bolt tork. thanks.

Arrow to front of engine as per Mr. Silver's book. Torque discussed recently here but I am unsure so maybe someone else with that info can chime in.
