Yes I did check it and looks pretty good. I'm going to do a loose build up of the engine (with gaskets) and do a check with a degree disc against cam and crank position. Will report back after my trip.
With the central aluminum section in play the whole fixture holds pretty steady. I was surprised how easy it was to press the centre section after it took so much effort to get it apart.
Your big press must do it with ease.....

Did you check the accuracy of indexed center section before pressing rod side on?
I was curious of how well your 2 post fixture keep that alignment.
