Just Bought this CL77
Well did I screw up with all the bling or is this tastefully done? Can always do a reverse resto.

Update on this purchase. I have put about 5 miles on the bike and found out it leaks very badly. This was expected due to sitting for so many years. Last little cruise around the block and engine died. Speedo cable had fallen out of it's crimped connector in the headlight and whipped around inside the housing and egg bettered the wire harness. Things shorted out and melted the wires. Question is should I buy one the new harnesses on e-bay or wait for a good used one? I have picked up most everything else such as a seal and gasket kit to cure the oil leaks.

Well Hutch,
I suppose two things...
1) How badly did the wires melt? I mean do you have a grilled cheese inside the head light bucket?
2) You may be able to do the repairs yourself if it's not too bad (like beyond and into the jacket). Can you still see the colors upstream and determine where they go? Splices are or can be a bad thing I know...but if limited to the bucket...I'd repair if possible and go on to my next task...gaskets. Your call ultimately. What's the harness go for anyway? Oh yeah...sorry to hear of your troubles on the new purchase. Dayum!
