Basic fork question...

In the parts diagrams (CMSNL) there are type 1 and type 2 forks.
What is the difference? Is that steel vs. aluminium?

Yes..

Although the steel forks came in early / late types with different sized tubes and triple clamps.

My bottoms are steel. Should I be happy or sad?
Are the steel ones type 1 or 2?

Both work well.
The parts book will show you have TYPE1. ..............lm
