cam chain guide wheel help

Post by joea » Thu Sep 06, 2007 3:05 pm

hi, i'm rebuilding my 305 and noticed the raised center part of the cam chain adjuster wheel is deteriorating some. it actually looks like very small pieces are missing....the rest of the wheel looks fine.
is it servicable this way or should it be replaced.
is there a repair to replace just the wheel and where can someone source it or does the entire tensioner need replaced.....
and last, where is a good place to source one..........thanks in advance for your time/help, joe

joea, There are lots of good sources to be found here on our forum. Ohio Cycle has been good, You might want to try our 305 guru Ed Moore he can be reached at EMO@KTC.com
You will find alot of resourses if you cruise around the information this site offers(does that make sense?) Any way, welcome to our forum and good luck! Kustommusic
