I presume you guys mean one of these? Will 12v be enough to light this sucker up?

Not that it matters, but the power source only comes from one wire jumped off the horn, I know that's plenty but for some reason I figured headlights needed a little more ooomph.

I will definitely try some JB Weld, I have some handy. Thanks for all the input, it's always the little things that keep you from riding, right? :p

Yep, that's the kind I put in my headlight. I bent the prongs flat so it wouldn't hit the speedo.

They put out enough light but they don't focus well. I put the bulb in only to pass Pa. state inspection and so I didn't have to spend a $150.00 plus on an nos one. I wouldn't recommend night riding on dark roads with this set up.

12 volts is standard for this type bulb, but the wattage could be a problem if you run with the lights on. The amperage output on these bikes can be boarderline. You should use a 30 or 35 Watt bulb, that's what I have , its for scooter. As Mike said this style is not good for night riding, but good for daytime visibility.
