lower crankcase oil leakFruitland MarsingBoth are small towns. Fruitland is west about 45 minutes and a couple miles from the Snake River. They used to grow a lot of fruit as the name suggests, but import prices killed them off. Still a lot of Ag there, though.
Marsing is west and South, also about 45 minutes on the road to Reno. Its right on the Snake River. A lot of Ag in the area, but it is a struggling rural town like most of Idaho. How in the heck do you know about either of those towns - let alone both of them?
I drive up US95 several times a year and pass through Marsing. My daughter is a former student of BSU :) and still resides there in Boise, and her boyfriend is from Fruitland. So I'm familiar with some of the area. We also have friends that relocated to the Nampa/Caldwell area out by "Chicken Dinner Road". I'm still trying to figure out how that name came about!
GO BRONCOS!Several stories on how Chicken Dinner Road got its name.
The most prominent: http://www.ktvb.com/news/i-wonder/64289942.html There's politics in everything - even Chicken Dinner So as the father of a BSU Alum, did you get to see the Bronco's play on the Blue Turf? It is an experience.
Smurf TurfI have on several occasions. There is nothing like it in college football! It's a must see for anyone visiting the Boise area as you will never see anything else like it (with the exception of E. Washington's red field they call the "Inferno". But they pale in comparison to the Broncos! The greater Treasure Valley sure loves and supports their team!
Interesting story on how they named the road. Thanks for the link.
