Emgo install question

I'm putting some EMGO dunstall replicas on my cb77, and i ran into a slight issue. Do i need remove the stock front-most exhaust mount from the frame? It's the mount below the shifter, adjacent to the centerstand. I can post a picture if I'm not explaining it well.

Thanks for posting that link. They discuss it, but I don't think there is a conclusion made.

On another note, does it matter how far up the header I position the muffler?

I slid mine on just far enough to insure the full with of the clamp to secure. Maybe 1/4 in more.I think going on too far resulted in clearance issues. Didn't have the luxury of stock pipes so the front mounting was not there.

I've run into a small snag. Possibly.

There is a big rubber buffer on the foot lever portion of the center stand, to protect the pipe upon swing-up. Should that rubber part make constant contact with the muffler? Mine does, currently.
