I have a 1966 Honda Dream CA77. When I purchased it the electric start did not work. I got a bit ahead of myself and took the starter off and had it rebuilt at a starter/generator vendor. After reinstalling it I determined the problem is internal. The starter chain spins just fine but the chain goes into the engine and is not turning the engine over internally.
Soon I am about to take on the endeavor of pulling the right side casing and tracing down the problem. Anyone who has experience with this repair is welcome to provide me with any advice before I get started.
Suggestions / Input / Warnings / Encouragment appreciated...

CA77 Electric Start Maintenance Question

You will probably have to rebuild your starter clutch. It has 3 small barrels and springs that usually need replaced. Rollers may also have flat spots.
You'll need a bolt to screw into the center of the clutch to remove it.
