Replacement Speedometer Gear Box O-ring/Seal???

I removed the Speedometer Gear Box, and the rubber seal or o-ring that sits in the groove around the outside is old and cracked and not whole.

But when I went to the parts manual to look up a replacement, it only shows the Gear Box (Ref 23 of the Front Wheel page in my book). I doesn't show any of the parts that make it up. Not the lube port screw or this rubber ring. Anyone have a good part number for it?

I'll have to measure the housing's groove dimensions and try to find a generic o-ring of the appropriate size if I can't find the proper part.

It is one of those many parts HONDA applied to the total assembly but NEVER offered it as a separate coded part.
As silly as it sounds "as it is only open at one location ya may be able to put some good old white grease on it and the hub and see what comes of it.

Ace Hardware carries metric o-rings. Take your speedo drive with you and see if you can fix it up.

Yep, drop everything you're doing and get down to the hardware store! Lol!
Or better yet, send the wife to the hardware store and on her way back she can stop at 'In N Out' for burgers and a shake and bring you dinner and your o-ring! Now that's a deal my friend! :)
