Man, those chrome pieces came out nice! That thing is going to be dangerous in the sunlight. Can't wait to see it all together.

Beadblasting done on the cases. Also valve job done and pistons honed out slightly.

Should be time to put this bike back together---although I have a few parts yet that I haven't located.

ok, good old JB weld and a big thanks to LM for telling me to just use the fixed part, it will be fine. Here is what it looks like fixed with JB. Not much pressure on this part so that is good plus I didn't really want to lose the engine number.

Doing some painting today in my homemade paint booth made out of PVC pipe and plastic draped over it. Painted the covers in a 1650 aluminum engine paint and also painted the forks in aluminablast by Seymour paints. Everything turned out really well, now to let it dry, a little wet sanding and putting a couple of coats of clear enamel on everything. So, my question is this: since the engine paint for the covers is basically gas resistant, will putting that clear enamel on it be a good idea or will that enamel run or be affected should it get gasoline on it? Also, should I wet sand and put clear enamel on the forks or leave them alone?

Also, put on here a couple of shots of the valve job that was done. Looks good!!

he actually didn't grind the faces, I told him not to after what you told me. He cleaned them up good.
