Hello,
I recently purchased a CB77 and it is a 1969. It has a clear Michigan title and everything is in order, but I was under the impression that these were only produced until 1967 with some registered in 1968. Has anyone since or have a 1969 Superhawk?
Cheers,
Marco

re:
back in the day it was not unusual for a bike to be registered as year sold instead of year produced. I purchased a new GT 750 Suzuki in 1975, and it was titled as a 1975, but was actually a 1974 model (might even have been a '73) Dealers were sometimes less than forthcoming about such things.

Thank you, Mike. I figured as much. It does surprise me that the bike was sold and title alongside the new CB350.
Something that I also find interesting is how motorcycles in general were titled. I have a few Benelli bikes (sold and branded in the US by Montgomery Wards) and many of these were not even titled, ever.
