cl77 clutch to hard to squeeze
cl77 clutch to hard to squeeze
Rebuilt cl77 clutch. All new discs and cable. It takes a super grip to squeeze the lever to work the clutch. Can the springs be too stiff for some reason. I have double checked the assembly and the ball to rod connection. Any ideas would be great. Sincerely, CFL

Clutch release pushrod is straight(no binding) and the bearing ball is in place? Pull the side cover off and look at lower end of the cable. With the clutch lever pulled in to the grip the angle between the end of the cable and the release arm should not be past 90° for the easiest pull.

Clutch cable
Thank you very much for your expertize. I'll give it a try. I had a 305 back in the 60's and I remember that the clutch was always a little hard to squeeze back then. Not like the Nighthawk 750 that I have now. I just gave away my age, I'm an old baby boomer. Thanks again, Sincerely, CFL
clutch squeeze
Thank you for the tip, I'll pull out the cable so it is almost straight and give that a try. Many thanks, CFL
