My CB77 was in non-running condition when i got it, and still is. I haven't really had much time to hunt down the reason, but I know the kickstarter is loose (it wiggles around). Another thing that I noticed is that the previous owner cut the wires going to the handlebar switches, my guess is, during handlebar installation.
Is the kill switch being disconnected going to prevent me from starting the bike, or will it just prevent me from killing it after I start it?

There is (was) no kill switch on a CB77. THe only buttons are starter (right) and horn (left).
The ignition switch key in the side cover turns the ignition on / off
