help with a vin # i suspect it is a 1961 cb77e

frame # is CB77-106032
motor # is CB77E-105957
i got this bike with no info and i am trying to find any info on this bike. thanks to you guys i found a piece of the puzzle. i am hoping to get some help befor i decide what to do with it. thank you mike

There was two different numbering systems used in 1964. Your bike is a 1964.

i am sorry but i am confused, i thought that the frame # would have 7#s if it was a 1964? help me to understand the break down of the #s? please? is there more info in the #s that im missing? thanks for the help mike.

Your bike fits the sequence as a 1964 (Type1). Mine is also a '64 with the following numbers.

Eng CB77E 102535
Fr CB77 102533

Mine was sold and registered in the UK as a 1965

If your bike was a '61 the frame number would begin with 11 and it would have a number of unique features compared with post '61 bikes.

Have you looked at the white label on the wiring harness under the tank? This gives the date that the harness was produced.
