New cl77 need a little info....
hey guys, just picked up a cl77 for my next resto but have a few things im trying to get squared away before i start spending money....first is that the correct seat with the chrome strip??and the exhaust with the removable muffler and long shields??i believe the bike is a 67 as thats what the tag on the wire harness states...some idiot welded some kind of harley pegs on to so ill need to by a new braket and rubbers.is the correct rubbers the square ones?the tank has the seem in the middle as well.....heres a pic please let me know if anything looks out of place, overall the bike looks very original and numbers matching(theres no scars on any of the nuts and bolts)...the transmission wont down shift sometimes??but ill be spliting the cases anyway when i do the resto....frame#1060370 engine#1060350 ...thanks

From what I see your bike (other than the foot pegs) is PRETTY MUCH original.
Looks like tires may be over size and the rear axle is installed from the wrong side.
Is the exhaust guppy removable?????
The foot bracket is available for sure. (I have them here if you like)
I cad plate all the parts which were zinc.
I use a place in Fort Worth.. ..................lm (KERRVILLE, TEXAS)

Original vs resto
You should strongly consider Kevin's suggestion if it is original. They are only original once. I would detail it and enjoy all those original parts that appear to be in great shape.
My opinion.

yea the muffler is removable but it looks like someone did a horrible repair job on it, i have a place were im from in houston that i use for cad plating and there price is unreal.the last two complete bikes i restored i cad plated all the parts there and it wasnt even 60$ a bike!!!ill put some pics of there work.....the bike looks wayyyy better in that picture..there is overspray on everything!!i dont know what its from, and the tank is full of rust and has pinholes....the paint is shot as well thats just the good side..tank badges are cracked(right side is shattered)handle bars are bent pretty bad but i dont know why?there is not any rash on the bike so i know it wasn't wrecked(maybe it happened being transported?)...there is alot of surface rust on the hoops.seat cover is ripped up and rotted...and the transmission acts weird, doesn't seem to want to downshift...i already rebuilt the carbs and plan on throwing them on to hear her start before the resto, has imo little low compression(105 on both cylinders)....ill try to get some better close ups aswell, thanks for your responses!!
