Thanks for the response. I talked to a friend whose dad use to own a tire shop back in the day. He told me to take some baby powder and put a shit load in the tire and around the bead and put about 75psi in it and it should work. He thinks maybe the tube is twisted inside the tire, which is possible because those tires are real soft and sticky. I have a show I'm taking it to tomorrow, so I'll do it afterwards and let you guys know.

They do look great on the bike though!!

If the rubber rim strip that protects the inner tube from the spoke nuts is a bit too wide, it will interfere with the tire bead seating properly (it gets caught under the inside diameter of the tire bead). The rim strip needs to be centered in the depression in the rim, without any excess up on the area adjacent to the rim flange, to avoid this condition. You may need to trim the strip to make it narrower, and use a bit of contact cement to hold it in place before you mount the tire. With the rim strip stuck under a section of the bead, a wobbling tire will occur. Regards, Chase

I have a pair of these tires on my superhawk. And I too had the problem of them seating properly the first time but I just let out a little air, went for a ride up and down the street came back aired them back up and they were fine

Goody, I'll definitely give that a try. I talked to the guy I bought them from and he said he's sold lots of them without a problem. I'm wondering if it's all coming back to these "union cycle" rims...

I have Union Cycle rims, which I built up myself. I also have one Heidenau tyre and one Kenda; my CB rides fine.

If your looking for something around the house and are a cheap azz like me.

Try Vegetable or Conola oil.

If you happen to be in cold climate . Make sure the tires are warm to. They will go on much easier.
