gas overflow problems

rebuild carb and connected all fuel lines andeverything. working well until you go to start the bike. fuel is coming out the back of the carb where the air filter would be connected. what am i doing wrong? does any one have a picture of how that fuel lines connect or suggestions of what could be causing this problem? any help would be much appreciated. thanks

Sticking/leaking/misadjusted float, dirty/defective float needle valve..jk
