Speedo trouble
Just wondering if anyone has had this problem. I'm sure it's not a cable lube or routing problem but everything is fine up to 70MPH then the speedo needle swings over to the tach needle and stays there mostly , occasionally swinging back to 100 MPH then back to the tach needle. It will return to normal at about 40 MPH then the cycle repeates at 70. Sounds like I need to send it to the tach shop. '63 CB 77 by the way. Thanks for any help.

I had a similar problem develop last year. I tore the speedo apart and fixed it all up. But it's still kinda doing what your's is doing, so I guess it's the cable. My cable is old and original, but has a bad kink in it, so I'm thinking it's the cable. They're kinda hard to find, as I can't seem to find any one doing a copy of that cable.
I goes what I'm saying is it would be easier to try the cable first, it's quite a job getting that speedo all apart.
