I am getting ready to put the engine in the frame of my cafe project and I have one clutch cable joint. It is slightly too wide (thick) to fit and prevents the side cover from seating flush. The parts fiche gives us 2 numbers : 22875-259-020 and 22875-268-000. The bike is a franken-hawk, and is mostly '65-'66 parts (as far as I know.) I need the narrower of the 2. I am assuming that xxxxx-268-xxx is the later part and that's what I need. Anyone care to englighten me on this ? ( My wife thinks I could use a good dose of general enlightenment, but all things in moderation I say.)

Re: clutch cable joint
There are 2 designs as ya have found out.
The cable enters ay 90 degrees on the early issue and enters at a angle (toward front) on the later issue.
And as ya find the area which fits the cover is different with each issue. ...........lm
