Took the cb77 out tonight and it was great for 10 mins, then the hesitation started in.
First off the line, and then in all gears.
Stalled completely as I turned into the driveway.
Pulled off both fuel lines, and fuel flowed freely.
The only change I made before this ride was to close air screws 1/4 turn to try and manage my lean situation.
I don't get why it runs fine for 10 mins, and then starts with the hesitation.
If there is a problem, why doesn't it show up immediately?
So frustrated - thought I had beaten this gremlin.
It's back! Hesitation (again)

My hesitation "coughing" and "dying" problem occurred after I was riding for a bit. The fuel seemed to flow well and I had no problems however, when I opened the throttle up, for whatever reason it was acting like it was starving for fuel. If I let the bike set for a bit it would run well again. So we rode it until it started coughing, and then immediately pulled over and checked our fuel flow from the tank/petcock to the carb. What we found was, something (debris) was clogging my line, not allowing the fuel to flow at the rate needed to cruise at higher speeds. However when I was riding slow, the trickle of gas would allow the bike to cruise at low speeds, or short spurts at a higher speed and then....... Coughing/dying would occur. Im not sure if this is the cause of your issue, but I thought id throw my cause/effect/resolution out there just in case yours is the same. Good luck, and let us know if you figure it out.

I think you win the prize.
There was gas coming out of the petcock, but one side was a restricted thin stream, rather than full stream.
I opened the petcock bowl, after having to use a hammer on the wrench to unstick the bolt, and there was enough metal in there to sell for scrap.
Cleaned it out and changed the screen, changed my inline filters (again), and the problem seems to be fixed (for now)
Still a little lean, but hesitation is gone.
I have known all along this tank is a rusty POS, and am just waiting for warm weather to paint a replacement and mount it.
Still blowing fuses every hour or so of riding. Doesn't blow every time out. Very odd. Going to change rectifier next.
