SHE LIVESSSSSS!!!!!!

Post by KellieLyyne » Sat Dec 24, 2011 1:53 am

Mike, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!!!! We hooked up the new coil and with very little tinkering, she came to life! (then the throttle stuck and she breathed fire!!!) lol. A little sandpaper, and making sure we didn't over tighten the two bolts and waaaaaaaaa laaaaaaaaa!!! The cam shaft seal leaks so we need to fix that, and the brake switch isn't working (Bruce is working on that as I type), now alls we need to do, is install the petcock, attach the Tank, and side covers, and fix the seal, and I am on my way!!!!!!!! I did the happy dance, and the Pee Wee Herman Dance!!! Thank you everyone, especially Davo, Mike, and Bill Silver, you guys are awesome! Pictures and video to come sometime this weekend! Merry Christmas everyone.

Kellie,
That's great news! Just in time for Christmas. I'm happy I could help.

Merry Christmas to you and your husband. You gave me something to smile about today!

Thanks you guys!!! Yes, this forum is great, and it really helps to keep your spirits up when all our hard work won't cooperate. It was perfect timing. I was stressed out (due to going to the mall to do some last minute Xmas shopping) and I came home, exhausted, until I heard it START! I couldn't get off the couch fast enough! I ran out to the garage, and started my dance. I was so happy I even brought dinner out to the garage so my hubby didn't have to stop tinkering on it. I was just corrected, that I have a leaking CAM seal ( like I care, just fix it so I can ride it!!!) I am so jazzed. Again thanks to everyone for their help and encouragement! (singing) have a holly jolly Christmas........

While the frustration of them not starting can be enormous, the joy of hearing your bike is surely greater. Not much like it, I think.

Merry Christmas KellieLyyne and Bruce! Yours is a beautiful bike and may the New Year find you riding a lot of miles.
