Ok, my speedo is from a 67 Superhawk. It was giving all the symptoms of the grease having gone hard in the speedo. Loud buzzing, needle jumping everywhere. I unplugged the cable fairly quickly and the spring inside the speedo is fine. So I've got it apart, mostly, but now I'm not sure how to get at that grease in the "pot" Anyone got advice? I'm not quite sure how to get at the lube part. Do I need to take this apart further?

Anybody? Just wondering, thinking maybe I can just use some WD40/oil? Throw it in there?

Do a sear on this site, speedo rebuild "search for all terms". It's all in there , where to and where not to put oil.

Thank you Davo! I have had problems with searches as well and just clicking on "search all terms" instead of "search for any term" made such a big difference in the results returned.

Yes, it used to drive me nuts as well! Just by checking search for all terms, you get only the post you want.

Now I know this is going to sound obvious but believe it or not I went for a the longest time not know that doing a search for, lets say ( Oil Pump) only realy works well if you type in ( Oil and Pump) putting that word "and" in the middle of each word you want to search for. Also as mentioned above, clicking on the search all terms button below helps alot too.
