yep
yep checked the needles and the numbers match. i was talking about the 2nd from the top(the bigger end). but i read the post and went to the garage and tryed the bottom setting. actually made it worse. so when i get home from work tomorrow i was gonna put them back at 2 from the top. is this correct? still didnt help when i get to 4thousand rpms looses all power. realy sucks. is this timing related?
any feedback will be helpful
thanks again

Second notch from bottom is correct. What size and brand main jets? It could be timing, like Steve said put a timing light on it, and check full advance. Stock air filters? New or really clean? raising the needle, lowering the clip, makes it run richer. If it got worse when you raised the needle, it's running too rich.

air filters
air filters are like new, bought used but i cleaned them out real good. not anything closer to stock. kinda like k&n cone filters. lets in plents of air.
i checked the main jet when i hung up the phone with ya. its stock as well. i must had a six pack in me and didnt remember putting all stock back in. i started the bike after regapping the points and it was backfireing and poping super back. very poor throttle responce, and the points plate is all the way retarded( to the right) and that would just barilly make the timing light come on.(when doing edd moores timing recipe)
i got to hit the bed, have to be at work at 3:30 am.
