Exhaust crush gasket

The crush washers that I got in my gasket kit are slightly bigger than the holes they go into. Should I have to press them in? I guess I figured they would just push in without too much effort. Anyone experienced this?

Yes - The aftermarket ones don't always fit so well. Those are still available from Honda.
