CB-Less
So let me get this right... you are willing to pay $600 more to a guy who did nothing but ride it?? You won't get a good deal when your desperate, only with patience. ( That actually sounds profound!!) Right now bikes are going for outrageous prices in LA, '60s - '70s Honda for $3 - $4K. Add some clipons and call it a "cafe"!!! There are deals but they go quick.
Here's a '63 CB77 in mid restoration for $1500 http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/mc ... 74018.html

For $3800 I would expect a very nice and complete running bike, fully restored, but shy of concourse quality ... a few aftermarket or replica items but looking pretty near factory, decent paint, no visible damage, etc.
