Clutch removal
Clutch removal
I just got my engine running after thirty years and guess what? Yeah, the cluch is struck. What tools do I need to pull the clutch and clean it and what is the basic proceedure?
Remove the left engine ( clutch ) cover. Remove the pressure plate bolts, and you are at the clutch plates. A snap ring holds the clutch center in place. I've had some success riding the bike and pulling and releasing the clutch lever until the plates freed themselves. Make sure you're in an area where sudden stops won't be necessary, and get the engine good and hot.

stuck clutch
This post just sounds funny to me. "But honey...he said to pull the cover, and clutch bolts, then ride it till it got hot!"
