Mike, if you're able to get the lock barrel out it would be worth getting the 9645 from Davo and see if the tumbler plates sit proud once the 'wrong' key is inserted. If so, then it's a simple filing-down of the plates to make the key work; less secure but it would work.

Alternatively, and better: take the 'new' combi-switch and Davo's 9645, along with your original steering lock barrel to a good locksmith and ask him (or her!!) to key-alike the set.

Whilst on the subject of T-series keys, do any of you have T4546, please? My 'new' old CB250K came with one, slightly bent, key only.

TIA and Happy Holidays!!

Nice one, Mike! I've used this guy before, but for what eludes me totally. I just got a trio of keys for the CB250K, thanks to your kind consideration.

His postage cost is a bit atmospheric, but his keys are a reasonabubble price.

Glad you got yours sorted too. Many thanks to FF for his key-numbering knowledge.

And to Davo for not calling me a wanker for marrying 'out of the faith' with the 250.......

Steve, can't go there as I have 2 Z50As, a CT70, a S90, a XR650R, a DL1000, a DT1B, and a YZ250F! I've been quite unfaithful to the 250 / 305s. As they say, "variety is the spice of life'. Steve, I hope you have a very happy New Year!

Thanks mate! Same to you & yours!!

I was very fortunate that the guy from whom I bought the 250 has a penchant for 2-stroke triples (he has 16 bikes, and the only 4-stroke he has now is a CB500 Four), so he had little time to tinker with the K that's now in my possession. I viewed a Kwak KH250, a KH400 and 'zook GT380M, all pretty damned immaculate and in his, errrrrr, dining room!
