CB92 with winkers

Hi,

Apparently there are a lot of questions about gas tanks for a CB92 on this forum,
so I thought, I'll ask another question for all of those who have a CB92.

In the picture below, there is a winker switch on a CB92. Can anyone tell me if it is original or not. ?
The funny thin is that I have this switch gear on my CB72 '62, and I'm sure that it isn't original switch gear for that bike, but it is Honda.

Who can provide me some answers ???

btw a numpty person cut the top off, to fit CB72 winkers.

I'm sorry but I cannot help with this but I'll start looking now. That's a very practical way of putting winkers on but I have never seen anything in parts manuals or in reality.

Is that your '61 CB? I hope you're not hiding a thinly disguised '64 model there..... :-)

Hi Jensen, as far as i know these winkers were fitted to german market bikes.

@ G-man, no it is my (not yet) restored CB72'62, it;'s very complete and runs, but need some paint and chrome parts. A picture of the 61 would show only a box of parts.

Jelle, yes I think you're right, but did you ever seen them, I mean personally ? The winker switch is mounted apart from the throttle housing with the starter button, and it isn't exactly the style of Honda.

Honda did place combination switches on earlies bikes, like C71's, so why is this winker switch apart from the starter button ? The wiring is correct, and meant to be this way, it is a different type of main harness, including the wiring for this switch.

The funny thing is that the wiring for my CB72'62 is also correct for this switch. The wire harness says 1961, could it be that the 61 version with winkers differ from the later versions ?

Who has a CB72 '61 with winkers or a early 62 with winkers ?
Who has a CB92 with winkers for verification ?

Hi Paul,

Yes, indeed these are the winkers mounted at the rear of the bike, if you can locate a viwe front winkers..... just kidding.

What bothers me is the switch, it's rare and I have not seen a similar switch on any CB92.
