Today, just finished rebuilding my C72 head, after several weeks of cleaning, valve grinding, sourcing replacement rocker arms, repairing damaged exhaust studs etc. Finally stood back and admired the finished job, only to realise it looked different to the engine currently in the complete bike! I have managed to fit the camshaft in the wrong way round - i.e. point cam to l/h side .
Could not understand why I did this until I looked again at the Honda parts list that I have been using, and it clearly shows the assembly the wrong way round. The workshop manual is fine, and later bits in the parts book have everything in the right place, but it was too late then.
Anyhow, its back in bits now and I will start again tomorrow.
