That's a question for your local DMV.Tango911 wrote:if i found a 1969 plate i could use for my honda dream should i do that or just get a vintage plate issued? or does it matter??

I believe in some states you can actually use an old "retired" plate on an old vehicle if you go thru the proper steps.
In WV, you can get an "Antique" plate, but it is a new issue and has driving restrictions....ie daylight only, weekends, or to and from shows etc. and there is no vehicle inspection required, lasts longer, and cheaper.
You can also get a "Classic" plate with no restrictions, but costs more, doesn't last as long, and requires inspection.
Each state is different.
