FWIW (and if memory serves), I found two pins on the cylinder to head, and two (one each, I believe) on the sidecovers...I have a 305...

there's way more than that.as a rule of thumb, you should have the exploded parts diagrams in front of you when assembling these things. those diagrams should be the first piece of literature you buy.
