oh oh what did i foul up now

humm ok i got my cb77 half way together new rings lapped the valves (good seal) adjusted them, went through the ed moore tune for the timing and all i get if flames out the pipes and a few backfires out the carb.... help please

My first gut reaction----------- How did you adjust the valves? Should be adjusted at T and LT.
Second thought would be the float height adjustment. Just some quick thoughts. RW

can that be checked without taking the motor out and looking at the cam sprocket??
