Would appreciate Tranmission Help

OK i know there are rumors out there regarding a stock Honda 5 speed box that will fit the 305 tranny.
Can anyone help me out here and disclose any possible tranmissions that they heard that can be fitted into the CB77 casing.
I'm not wanting to start a whole discussion on the subject as i guess this has been chewed over before BUT any help would greatly be appreciated

Hey Bert, sorry i couldn't resist, the only runor that I have heard is that a CB350K0 trans will work. This has not been confirmed by myself, nor anyone else that cares to share. I'm kinda hoping for a CB350K0 lower end to fall in my lap, and see if it is a possibility.

Bert, this is all heresay, but the K0 is supposed to be the only one that will work. i have a couple issues with this, as the clutch is on the opposite side of the engine on the 350s, and lord only knows what else is different. Anyway, if you happen upon a cheap enough K0 lower end, it may be worth a try, and please let us (me) : = ) know if it's feasable!

Well it's worth a try, I know that i got a CB200 5 speed into my 1964CB160 4 speed casing and it went in with very little problems

Bert, try a 175 trans next time. the gears are slightly better.

Did you weld the cam bearing area or did you find a way to machine the cam drum?

Actually it was a 175 tranny I thought the 175/200 was the same, but a little fitting and it went in
