camshaft removal frustrations

Do not remove the guides unless you have the correct drift and plan on fitting new ones.

Just be very careful to was all the beads out.

For the combustion chambers I usually use a wire brush and the same on valves.

good, i really didnt want to take'em out anyway!! thanks. btw, there is 0 slop inthe guide-valve interface, so that is good...and they produce vacuum when i pull the valve out! pretty tight tolerances, there, i guess.

man, I had exactly the same problem when I rebuilt mine..thought I was going to beat the daylights out of that thing. I almost wonder if people torque that bolt too high when they put the camshaft back together.
