Clutch Lifter Rod
One end is flat and the other is rounded.<br />Just want to confirm which end goes through the engine?<br />Thanx

the rounded end goes toward the clutch pack, The flat end should be very grungy, telling you it was exposed the goo in the kickstart/ clutch/ chain case. Check your parts book, I think there is a ball bearing somewhere in there too (or was that on the Benelli...)<br /><br />Matt

Thanx, just couldn't figure out the engineering of having the rounded end against the ball.<br />Now, do I pack the hole, where the rod goes, with grease<br />or does it get lubed from the engine oil?

I am pretty sure it's lubed by the engine oil, but pre-oiling it wont hurt. Make sure you get the actuating mechanism in the case all clean and greased up...<br /><br />Matt
