Real Chrome Superhawk?

Is this something Honda supposedly did? If so there is zero indication of the existence of this bike in Honda Motorcycle Identification Guide 1959-1998.

Personally I would MUCH rather have a Scarlet Red/Silver one.

This wouldn't be the first bike that is not mentioned in the Honda identification guide tho, right or no?

I have found the Honda Identification guide to be pretty correct, plus they have updated it a number of times. I doubt that the chrome Superhawk was done by Honda. Maybe by a Honda Dealer, but I doubt the Factory did it. When these bikes were new, chrome was CHEAP!!!

Ya youre right on that one. Chrome has a different value now. As far as the book goes though I was thinking there were some models, or variations of, that weren't represented? I'm forgetting which ones I was thinking of in particular though? I don't know, maybe I'm just nuts :)

There are many different promo's that Honda did that most people never have heard about. I have found Honda items in dealers attics, parts areas, and lofts that most people would never believe Honda made until they see the box was sent from Honda and is in an original marked Honda box from California.

Maybe there should be a book made by Honda that is titled, "Everything motorcycle related that has EVER been produced, endorsed, or sent to a dealer because we liked them and got bored." I'd buy a copy.

I am talking about the Honda Factory in Japan, not the Honda distributor in America. I am sure that the distributor used to do lots of different stuff outside of what Honda Japan sent them. The Honda Identification Guide is supposed to show every bike that was ever imported into the US.
